Numerous churches and cathedrals adorn this cultural monument, which is under the protection of UNESCO.
During the year, numerous festivities and carnivals are organized in Kotor, but even without them, this city is visited by a lot of tourists, who create big crowds, especially when large overseas cruisers enter the port, one of which has almost as many passengers as Kotor residents.
