In the middle of the great lake of Bled, there is an island, on which the church of St. Mary was built in the Middle Ages.
At 100 meters above the lake there is a castle over 1000 years old. It is the oldest castle in Slovenia, which has been turned into a museum today. Bled also has the largest golf courses in Slovenia, covering an area of more than 100 hectares.
And finally, we must mention the famous crepes from Bled. The tradition of making this fantastic cake in Bled has existed for more than 50 years, and it is estimated that over 10 million have been made so far.
