The Djerdap gorge is certainly one of the most beautiful landscapes in this part of our world. It is the longest gorge in Europe, a place where the Danube is the widest (6 km) and the deepest (82 m) in its course, leaving no one indifferent with its enchanting natural beauty. It is part of the Djerdap National Park, which stretches along the right bank of the Danube from Golubac to Sipa. The Đerdap gorge consists of 4 gorges and 3 valleys, the Golubac gorge, the Ljupkovska valley, the Gospodjin vir gorge, the Donjomilanovačka valley, the Mali and Veliki Kazan gorges, the Oršavska valley and the Sipska gorge. 9,000 years ago, the first urban settlement in the world was created on the Treskavac rock. Today, there is the archeological site Lepenski vir, which testifies to the space and time of the emergence of modern civilization. The medieval fortress Golubaac was built in the 14th century at the very entrance to the Djerdap gorge. It has been declared a cultural monument of exceptional importance. Restoration is currently underway, which began in 2014, so only the interior of the fortress with the Lower Town is available to visitors. Kladovo is a city with one of the most beautiful river beaches in Serbia. The organization "Network for Sustainable Mobility and Tourism along the Danube", whose headquarters are in Linz, awarded Klad the title "Pearl of the Danube", due to its historical heritage, the arrangement of the coast and the unreal natural beauties that surround it.

Departure Belgrade in the early morning hours. We travel, with a stopover for rest, through Požarevac and Veliki Gradište and arrive in GolubacAt the very gate of the Đerdap gorge, the town of Golubac awaits us, a fortress from the 14th century, a medieval cultural monument of exceptional importance. Right there, under the fortress, near Golubac, today a small and peaceful town in eastern Serbia, the Danube reaches its greatest width in its entire course, as much as 6 kilometers, so you often get the impression that you are in a Mediterranean town on the sea. In the continuation of the road, we go to Lepenski virone of the most important archeological sites, over 8000 years old, and after that we stop in Donji Milanovacwhere we will rest a bit and enjoy a walk along the Danube. With its 130 kilometers, the Djerdap gorge is the longest gorge in Europe. Its most beautiful part is right between Donji Milanovac and Kladovo, and enjoying these unreal scenes and natural beauties, we arrive in Kladovo in the afternoon. We stay in a hotel, and have free time until dinner and going to bed.
After breakfast in the hotel we will visit HPP Djerdapa system of two hydroelectric power plants built on the Danube, which is the largest dam on the Danube and produces 12 billion kilowatt hours of electricity per year. We also go to the Archaeological Museumand we will also see Fetislama medieval Ottoman fortress whose remains have been preserved to this day. After a break and some free time in the city, we head back to Belgrade. Through Negotino and Majdanpek we arrive at Rajačke pimnicea wine settlement from the 19th century. After wine tasting and lunch, we continue our journey, and arrive in Belgrade in the evening.
